Buying & Selling Fine Art

We are always interested in purchasing high-quality works of art. If you are thinking about selling a single work or an entire collection, please call or e-mail us. We guarantee strict confidentiality and a prompt response.

Appraisals and Authentication

We will provide written insurance and fair market value appraisals for your fine art. We can also offer our opinion regarding the authenticity of your fine art.

We offer free research on your fine art on a limited basis. Services include artist biographies, approximate dating, and unofficial scholarly opinions on American paintings before 1940. In your inquiry, please include the unframed dimensions, the medium (oil, watercolor, pastel), the support (canvas, wood, cardboard, paper), any inscriptions on the front or back of the painting, and clear digital images of the front and back of the painting. Please direct inquiries to Katherine Baumgartner, Director.

We can advise and assist in choosing the perfect antique or reproduction frame for your paintings. We are also interested in purchasing antique frames. For more details, please visit our frame department website at,  or call Nino De Leon at 212-288-0058.

Preserving and maintaining the beauty of your works of art requires the advice of trusted experts. We work with the best restorers in the New York area, and can help you make the right decisions in caring for your paintings and frames.
