Born in Ravenna, Italy, Count Alessandro Guaccimanni was active in New York and London as a miniaturist and a painter of city scenes. Guaccimanni exhibited a view of Madison Square at the National Academy of Design in 1892, which today is in the collection of the New-York Historical Society. His brother, Vittorio Guaccimanni, was also an artist.
