In An Upland Stream an icy stream cuts through a snow-covered field, where a pine tree towers over the dead branches and grasses that stick up through the thick snow in the middle ground. The distant tree line visible atop the ridge is mottled with the sunlight that peaks through the clouds and highlights the red barn, the only sign of development within this ideal landscape.
